Manual 5-step apochromatic magnification changer
The Carl Zeiss Extaro microscope provide a 5 step mag changer with the following multiplication factors: 0.4, 0.6, 1.0, 1.6 and 2.5x. resulting in a magnification range of 4x to 26x
12.5x Eyepieces
Supplied with rubber extendable eyepieces for prescription and non-prescription users. The Zeiss eyepieces allow for the individual adjustment for dialling in plus and minus prescriptions.
180° tiltable tube
The 180° tiltable tube is a fully inclinable binocular for posture and comfort. Offering a thumb wheel for adjustable inter pupillary distance.
Foldable Tube
The Foldable Tube f170/f260 combines brilliant apochromatic optics that yield a 50% increase in magnification and a unique design for maximum visualization flexibility, magnification potential and positioning adaptability. It allows surgeons a wide range of comfortable working positions, even at extreme surgical approach angles.
Focus
Allowing a focus with a depth of field of 230 creates a working distance between 200 - 430 mm. The Varioscope 230 allows for perfect ergonomic use of the microscope regardless of height or patient positioning.
TriLED, 5500 K
The Zeiss Extaro comes as standard with a three colour LED allowing different intensities, colour temperatures and filtering.
LightBoost
LightBoost is a factory upgrade to the existing TriLED light to further increase the intensity for the demands of procedures such as Endodontics.
Orange colour mode
Composite non-curing filter for the restoration of the endodontically treated tooth. Prevents early curing of composites.
Green colour mode
A red free filter used for enhancing the contrast between blood and tissue. Allowing for blood detection in surgical endodontic apicoectomy.
Fluorescence Mode
The fluorescence mode helps preserve as much healthy tooth substance as possible. The Fluorescence mode in the Zeiss Extaro supports detection of carious tooth substances and differentiates between natural hard tooth and composite materials, crowns and veneers.
TrueLight Mode
TrueLight mode inhibits the premature polymerization of widely used contemporary light curing composites under the microscope. affording more time to finish complex modelling tasks.
NoGlare Mode
NoGlare Mode allows precise analysis of the colour shades of a tooth. The cross polarization capability visualizes fine but relevant details such as colour nuances. It effectively suppresses obtrusive light reflections from the tooth surface.
The Zeiss ergonomic hand grips allow for an uninterrupted workflow without leaving your preferred working position. The hand grips are designed for full operation of the Mode control and Varioskop with only one finger.
Mode Control
A single finger use mode control allows full control of the microscope whilst maintaining an ideal, ergonomic position. the one finger control allows manipulation of light features, intensity and capture mode.
Single finger adjustable illumination
With just one finger, all controls of the microscope are available. assisting in work flow and the maintaining of the best ergonomic position, illumination, focus, and spotlight can be controlled with a simple selection.
Integrated built in HD camera offers live streaming and USB picture capture of the microscopes view. Ideal as a training aid and image capture for educational purposes.
Complete Integrated HD Camera with recording on USB or wireless to the Zeiss Connect App interface enabling ZEISS Connect iPad app for Camera control including smart recording, media asset management & essential adjusting of images and video. With use of the Zeiss app, image capture can be integrated into the patient management software for image retention in patient files.
Through use of a Full frame or APS-C photo tube, a DSL-R camera can be integrated and attached for image capture and live stream. Camera can be connected through to surgery computer or attached as a stand alone storage capture device.
MORA Interface
The adjustable, Mora interface connector allows you to maintain a comfortable upright viewing position at all times, regardless of the angle of the system. you will never have to take your eyes off your patient.
Mora Interface with Lateral Port
The lateral port allows for the connection of a photo tube for the addition of a DSL-R Camera
Asepsis Starter Kit
The Asepsis starter kit offers a high quality splash protection for the objective lens and resterilisable covers for the Varioskop, Mode Control, Magnification Changer and PD adjustment.
The drape starter kits comes with an adpater for the fixing of disposable drapes into the head of the microscope. The drape protects the whole head in situations where splatter may be an issue.
Floor Rollable System
The floor stand option offers a floor rollable system that can be moved from surgery to surgery. Fixed upon medical casters the microscope can be moved to the area where it is required opening up surgery flexibility.
Floor Mounted System
The floor mounted system offers a fixed base attached to the floor of the surgery. An ideal option for fixed surgery mounting where wall or ceiling mount is not appropriate.
Ceiling Mount System
Attached to the ceiling, this mounting option allows for the quick access to the microscope as and when needed. Ceiling mounting a microscope saves floor space, grants easier access to the patient and makes in easier for nurses and techs to move the microscope and set up the room prior to use.
Wall mounted microscopes are ideal for exam rooms with limited space. Typically mounted on the wall behind the patient chair, a long multi articulating suspension arm provides a stable delivery of the optical base. when not in use, the microscope can be conveniently folded flat against the wall.
