Our Response to New Government Legislation on Plastic Wipes

The UK Government's decision, scheduled to be introduced in July 2024, is part of a broader effort to combat plastic pollution. While this legislation aims to restrict the use of plastic in various products, including wipes, it's essential to note that our disinfectant wipes are exempt from this ban due to their critical role in medical disinfection.

The government's response explicitly states that wet wipes containing plastic will remain available where there is no viable alternative, such as for medical disinfectant purposes. This exemption recognises the necessity of such products for critical purposes, ensuring they remain accessible.
